Lads v Dads Football

For the second year running the Dads dusted off their boots and struggled to fit into their shorts! How the lads wished they hadn't! The Dads kept hold of the ball, it was remarked that it was like watching Brazil, and made the school team run around in circles. Mr Freeman-Jones clattered anything that moved whilst Mr Nicholls showed off his artistry on the ball - not bad for a centre half. Mr Brain continued where he left off in 1997 missing several heading opportunities and Mr Winfield showed power and pace. Mr Harris demonstrated great control wherever he played and Mr Barrow was....well, Mr Barrow! At half time the Dad's held a slender 4-3 lead. Enter Mrs Brain, the lads didn't score again whilst the Dads (and Mrs Brain) continued to score 4 more! Mr Brain was heard to remark that 'it was a lot easier than I thought it would be!!!!'
