Year 6 went to Bells golf course on Monday to go ice skating. We even went llama trekking and saw a donkey, camels and a wild boar. It was a fantastic Christmas treat.

Christmas Fayre continued....
Rudolph had lost his red nose and needed a little help finding it~ blindfolded who could pin the nose in the correct place?!
The delicious chocolate fountain~ made your mouth water just looking at it!
mmmmmmmm!!!! The chocolate hampers~ I wonder who will win them, and will they share?!
The nail art was popular with both the girls and the boys!!!!
CHRISTMAS FAYRE
The Christmas fayre was a HUGE success! There were so many different stalls to buy crafts and gifts from, as well as loads of excellent games, super nail art and not forgetting the yummy treats such as the chocolate fountain and reindeer cakes! The children worked really hard to produce work for their stalls and it was lovely to see so many parents and friends on the day. A special thank you to Mrs.Evans and her computer club who designed their own computer games, perhaps there could be an easier staff version next time! The total raised on the day was over £1300 which is truely amazing! The raffle for the eight delicious chocolate hampers will take place following the Lower School Production~ fingers crossed that you'll be a winner. Other winners, such as name the fairy and the furthest ski-jump will be announced in the next merit service.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN THIS EVENT :-)
Violin Lessons for year 4
The year 4 children have been taking part in violin lessons on a Friday afternoon. Mrs. Kay has been coming in to give the children the opportunity to learn how to play some simple tunes. They have been working really hard and are hoping to perform a short piece to the year 3 classes on Friday.
We would like to say thank you to Mrs.Kay~ the children have really enjoyed their violin sessions.

Coleford Christmas Lights
On Friday the Coalway Junior School choir had the honour of singing in the town centre at the turning on of the Christmas lights. Over 20 children turned out on a very wet and dark night to perform both modern and traditional Christmas songs. Despite the horrendous weather the children sang their hearts out to the crowd of gathered people. Gracie also bravely offered to sing a solo with Lauren supporting her on the chorus~ an outstanding performance.
Thank you children for working so hard to make this a truly memorable evening.
