Coalway Dance Festival - March 2013

COALWAY DANCE FESTIVAL 2013

Welcome - this year's Dance Festival was a great success.  Each year group gave an outstanding performance to the delight of the audience.
Class 7 'Evacuate'

This dance has been choreographed completely by the children in response to a piece of music, our World War 2 theme and seeing video footage of a 1940's dance.

Year 3 'Perseus and Medusa'

Year Three gave a great performance as they took us back in time - to dance the myth of
 'Perseus and Medusa'.
Year 4 'The Tale of Rama and Sita
Year Four then told the Indian story of Rama and Sita - their dance and costumes
 were really vibrant.
Traditional Dancers 'Bollywood'

The afterschool club performed the dance that they presented at this year's Lakers Dance Festival. How did they get Mr Barrow to dance?
Wake and Shake Dancers 'No Education'
The \Year 6 Wake and Shake leaders with helpers from across the school danced the routine they performed at the Wyedance Dance Festival.
Year 5 - 'Man on the Moon'
The dance was a celebration of man landing on the moon. It had a space theme and aliens taking over the moon!
Class 8 'Evacuate'

This dance was also completely choreographed by Year Six children inspired by the topic
of World War 2. Class 8 had a different interpretation to Class 7.
Well Done Coalway!!
