Maths Day

On Tuesday we experienced a magical maths day with children, parents and teachers all getting stuck in! Parents were invited into the classrooms to take part in our theme based activities. The activities ranged from working out the area on a space station to calculating how old Mrs Evans is, in Roman numerals of course! Parents took part in a whole school assembly with 18 willing camels and a thoughtful Arabic family.

In the evening many parents dragged themselves out of their comfy chairs to frazzle their brains with mathematics. We looked at loads of fun maths activities, proving that maths is not simply about number. Please let us know if there is anything that you would like included in the next workshop- chocolate does not count!

Overall we had a fabulous day and night. It was super having our parents involved in what we do and we cant wait until next time!

Wow, what a lovely afternoon! We took 2 teams to the local schools netball tournament. A glorious day to be outside. The children played really well, winning some of their matches and accepting they couldn't win them all. We came runners up in Pool A and 3rd in Pool B. The runners up went onto to play in a semi final but were beaten by some stunning passing and goal shooting from the eventual tournament winners.
A great shot from the photographer but even greater from Ryan - it went in.

Sardinia sun and fun!!

Yesterday morning the children went to school in Sardinia and did country dancing, singing and taught and translated the Comenius song (which Coalway had written and composed) to French and Italian. The children had lots of fun at school. In the afternoon they went sightseeing and visited another beach. The weather has been very sunny and the children have had lots of delicious Italian food including pizza and pasta. Today the children are returning to the school to take part in a Comeius sports day.
We are now looking forward to seeing them all back in school on Monday and hearing all about it~ hopefully not with too much of a tan!!

Sardinia

Mrs Mason has been recieving lots of texts from Sardinia reporting what a fab time the children (and staff) are having! The flight over was fine and the children had a meal in their hotel before going to bed. This morning they have all visited the school in Sardinia and are having a lovely afternoon on the beach.
Will keep you updated!!
